Meditation Classes

Meditation for Mums (including caregivers – both male & female)

As soon as your new child appears you can kiss goodbye to ‘you-time’, let alone any extended moments of serenity.
All parents and caregivers find it ‘challenging’ to re-cultivate a relationship with yourself and who you truly are. This is where Meditation rights that wrong. Between changing nappies, supermarket trips, arranging play dates, not to mention household chores and time dedicated to the ‘significant other’, you as a parent have a difficult time reconnecting with your inner peace. Meditation helps you once more : -

• Heighten your energy levels

• Re-create your passion for life – outside of being a ‘caregiver’

• Find focus and calm in the midst of multi-tasking

• Regain your inner calmness and patience

• Reclaim the real, true you (not the ‘parent label’)

FEEL THE NEED FOR SOME REAL YOU TIME IN A CHILD FREE SANCTUARY ?
Like to re-experience over an hour of full on relaxation without having to fly to the Maldives? Even those experienced in Meditation will find it a ‘challenge’ at home to Meditate as like any good parent, the slightest sound from your child will naturally and automatically bring you out of any meditative state. This is where Kara’s Meditation Centre steps in, being a haven of tranquility:

" I love Kara’s centre, its a lovely peaceful home away from home. It’s so relaxing with the soft lighting, candles, incense and comfortable sofas. Just the perfect place to get away from it all and chill out". Mrs P Larnaca

You can live in the midst of the mess, noise, crazy multi-tasking life you have and not blow a fuse ( e.g. cooking dinner whilst helping with maths homework, whilst soothing a crying baby and answering the phone) through learning to Meditate. Parenting’s inherent multi-tasking can be really destructive and corroding to your spirit, with Meditation redressing this imbalance.

HAS YOUR LIFE BEEN TURNED UPSIDE DOWN?

Like many first-time mums and primary care-givers, it is a difficult adjustment having your whole routine, life and identity turned upside down.

“I lost that connection with myself. I kept thinking ‘who am I now’?” Anthie

Anthie, a recent parent therefore searched for ways to inject some peace and sense of her true essence, outside of being a ‘mum’, finding Meditation the quickest and easiest solution to her problems.

“ Meditation has really helped me in remaining calm and focused. I use it to reenergize and reconnect with myself. It has helped me so much in being a better mum to my 3 little ones. I find I am more patient and also more aware of their needs so I focus on what’s really important. Thanks for your invaluable support Kara” Elena, Aradippou, March 2012

Through learning and practicing easy to follow Meditation techniques you can re-light your inner flame that’s been extinguished by wet nappies and find your purpose again.

HOW MEDITATION BENEFITS YOU AND YOUR CHILDREN
Good news: - Anthie noticed that through meditating and feeling calmness within herself through meditating that this was reflected in the behaviour of her kids. Essentially by you leading by example you can also encourage your children to meditate too!

“Every mum knows being a mum is a fulltime job. Very often we are exhausted and we reach our emotional, physical and mental limits. In these moments staying calm and using the right words is more important than anything else. Meditation helps to find yourself, to "earth" yourself and to be satisfied with yourself. The best you can give to your child is love, so we have to learn to love ourselves first” Christina, Larnaca

The benefits of your children meditating includes closer relationships with your family members, better health and self confidence and proven effectiveness in helping your child release negative thoughts (e.g. prolonged stress, anxiety, fear, jealousy and anger).

As adults, we often think of childhood as an amazing time with no worries, responsibilities, obligations, cares, etc. However, when we really think about our own childhoods we know that that’s not true. Stress affects children too. Many children have a difficult time understanding who they are and an even more difficult time accepting who they are. The same can be said for us as adults. Meditation helps children figure out who they are and come to a point of acceptance with themselves.

Once you, as a parent have the tools for life to Meditate, you can pass these benefits onto your children with your whole family benefiting!

“I have attended Kara's meditation class through the beginners, and now the advanced course and it has changed my life in many ways. I have so much less stress and have a more positive outlook. I am a much calmer parent and person in general. I find myself sleeping better, and have the tools to relax now, calm myself and re-focus when needed. I feel completely regenerated when leaving the meditation session and would recommend it to anyone whether you think you need it or not. Thank you Kara!” Gareth, Pyla

Meditation is clearly a safe, natural way to reduce pharmaceutical dependency whilst increasing quality of life for your child.
