The Impact of the Parental Relationship on Children by Dr. Andreas Anastasiou, Ph.D.

This presentation explores a variety of common challenges parents may face in their marital relationship and how those can impact their parenting style, their relationship with their children, as well as the development of their children. Related issues discussed will be:

• gender roles in the parental relationship 
• anger issues 
• domestic abuse 
• conflict resolution and empathy 
• coping with stress 

Following the presentation there will be a Question & Answer period.

Dr. Andreas Anastasiou received his doctorate in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh in the United States, where he taught at the university level for sixteen years and worked in a variety of mental health settings. He currently serves as Head of the Department of Social Sciences and as Associate Professor in Psychology at the University of Nicosia. In addition, he works as a staff psychologist at the Engomi Medical Center in Nicosia and maintains his private practice in Larnaca, conducting individual and couples therapy. He is also the proud father of three-year old twins.

At the Baby, Toddler and Christening exhibition the participating companies will be involved into a variety of   grounds, such as infancy and childhood nutritions, children's hygiene and cosmetics and a range of infant products like clothing and accessories.

In the Christening section the companies will display their offers for Christening events organizing, as well as all the essentials needed such as clothing, treats, catering and reception halls, decorations, photographers, and details of other Christening services providers.

Stalls offering advice on a range of useful knowledge such as breastfeeding, infant massage, lack of sleep and more. Many of the Cyprus' children's activity providers like Little Kickers and Kindermusik with Anja will also be present.
